Astron Technologies was launched in May 1993 with its first office in Mangalore under the name of Mahalasa Info-Solutions. A group of young qualified dedicated professionals, coming from varying disciples and backgrounds, got together and created the Shri Mahalasa’s Aston Technologies Incorporated (SMATI) of today. The company in the present form was incorporated in Bangalore, ’ The Silicon of India’, in June 2000.
A diversified company with wide-ranging interests, SMATI specializes in the hardware and networking domain. The low-cost, semi-branded ASTRON brand of PCs for the home and office segment apart, SMATI are dealers and re-sellers for world renowned brands like AMD, Intel, D-Link, Samsung and Philips, with many more brands in the pipeline.
