Bharat Geo Guides are a professional group consisting of economic geologists and specialists in other branches of geology with vast experience in exploration for ferrous and non-ferrous minerals, noble metals and dimensional / ornamental stones. The group has sound expertise in undertaking regional and detailed geological mapping, sampling and drilling for various Mineral Exploration Programmes. Environmental evaluation studies, including impact of mining and quarrying on environment, Ground water harvesting etc. is our specialization. The group consists of professional geoscientists with rich experience in these areas, who have earlier served in GSI, IBM, MECL etc. The group has also successfully carried out geological training programmes for professionals.
In the last few years in addition to carrying out professional studies, Bharat Geo Guides has also taken keen interest in undertaking programmes for popularizing geo-environmental studies particularly among students and the general public. The BGG in a pioneering effort in the 50th year of our independence has brought geo-environmental knowledge to the doorstep of the common man by bringing out Mineral Rock Kits of the states of Karnataka and Goa.
These have received an overwhelming response both from educational institutions as also professional and industrial organizations. Such Kits for other states of India are in the offing.
