Renamed Deisha just six months back, Swati Jhaveri's Mumbai, based company has been in operation for over 14 years, ever since she first started designing in 1986. Deversity as the company was then known, specialized in designing, wedding trousseau apparel and formal ladies' garments of an Indian Western nature, on a custom-made basis. When Jhaveri decided to go into bulk and wholesale production in 2003, she renamed her company Deisha. Today Deisha is involved in designing and producing Indo-Western apparel of all kinds, specializing particularly in Kaftans, Kurtis and Salwar Suits. The company operates out of five centers in Mumbai, comprising a cutting and tailoring unit, (with 18 machines), a hand-embroidery unit, a machine embroidery unit, (with 10 machines), a block printing unit and a dying center. The company has an outlet in Dadar (Mumbai.
