Company Profile

Born on 31.7.61 in a middle class hindu family, who were refugees from pakistan after partition in 1947, here was the only child, named anita , to parents mr. and mrs. Kishu shahani. Her parents had yearned for this child and had vowed that they would always give her the best, whether it was in the field of education or scoial status. Her father at that time was earning a meagre of rs. 150.00 per month, having to support a large joint fam, ily, all of them having forced to migrate to bombay. Looked after all his sisters and brothers and got eachj of them one by one duly married and settled.

Came their concentration on their one and only child , Anita, wha was admitted to a convent school and was warned that she had nothing else to look at but her books , which were provided to her. She says that even her book covers and stationery provided by her dear father was the best and most modern in those times. Her birthdays were celebrated with lavish parties, calling all the kids of school and the nighbourhood follwoed by drinks for the parents after the kids party was through( a fashion just begun three decades ago)

At the age of 10 she was once questioned by her father with regards to her future plans, she was blank unable to answer, not knowing why she was questioned at that age, what was expected of her, was it not time still for her to play with her friends male-female in the gardens of bandstand, why this sudden heavy talk and then was confused of fears and yet at the same time loved the parent even more for having cared so much. Years went by and at the age of 14 the same talk the same questions except a thie moment she was warned of keeping away from male friends, she was warned that she had to come out wilth flying colours in the finals which was a year later and then get into college which would be meaningful and purposeful. No college only for fun, but college which had the curriculum which few girls would like to get into and that was “science”.

She go over the final yr of school with a distinction, but missed all the fun her colleagues in school had indulged in. got admission into jai hind for two years and then once again came the big question of career etc chose medicine and wanted to specialize in a field less common. Chose HOMOEOPATY as the field where she believed she would be able to do justice to herself and to the patients around her.
