The college Sree Veerendra Patil Pre-University College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Bangalore was started in the year 1973 by having courses in Science, Commerce and Arts for P.U.C. The degree College was started in 1984. It is now a ful fledge college with several courses in Arts, Science and Commerce.
The college is situated in Sadashivanagar amidst a naturally beautiful environment. There is a quiteness around it making an ideal place for learning. A well planned modern building with a large ground speaks volumes about the dedication and the farsightedness of the founding fathers of the H.K.E. Society. The academic work of the college is carried on by an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced team of staff members. The college boasts of very well equipped modern laboratories and a library.
The main objectives of the college are to promote intellectual growth, develop skills and attitudes necessary for self reliance among the youth to serve as a community centre for everyone concerned with education and welfare of the students, to provide social and cultural programmes of the kind which make the period of leisure significant in the development of a total personality.
