The proprietor of the Ranjit Desai and Associates Ranjit D Desai, has obtained his Mechanical Engineering Degree from L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, in the year 1970-71 with 1st Class.
Experience
He has worked for Nine years in Tor-Isteg Steel Corporation of Luxembourg/Torsteel Research Foundation in India. After a brief stint as a Trainee Engineer in Digvijay Cement Company, he has started with Training in Hindustan Steel Ltd. Bhilai for the production and quality control of Torsteel. During his services with Torsteel he has started Torsteel production in more than 20 Rolling Mills in western India and also at Desbro International, Mauritius. During his services with the company, he was associated with the promotion of Orissa Sponge Iron Ltd. and was also involved in Development of High Strength Structural Steel.
In January 1980, he left Torsteel and started his own firm, "Ranjit Desai and Associates" for Project Consultancy for Rolling Mills.
We are in Rolling Mill field for the last 24 years. We also have associates - who are experts in the field. We have Mechanical Engineers, 2 Senior Foremen, 2 Supervisors, Accountant, Computer Draftsman and Stenographer Cum Computer Operator. Besides we have a team of contractors for Fabrication, Erection and Brick Lining.
