In association of two pathologists SELECT LABORATORY was established on 23rd June 1999. The laboratory is situated at Girnar Classic, 1021-B New Nana Peth, Pupne 411002. (Tel.No.6341506).
The pathologists providing services are Dr.Raton R. Daroga, having experience of about 20 years in Pathology services. He has his own laboratory in the Bhavani Peth / New Nana peth area for 11 years and later it is transformed in to select laboratory from June 1999.
The second Pathologist Dr. Sudhir R Kamble is also having seven years experience in the field of Pathology.
The services provided to the patients are as follows.....
The testing done on Blood, Urine, Stool, Sputum, Body Fluids, Cytology and Tissues. The different sections are Hemaetology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, Endocrinology, Cytology and Histopathology.
The reports are delivered on the same day in most of the cases. Exceptions for this are special tests like hormone assay, histopathology and cytopathology reports.
As far as quality of reports in concerned we are doing internal as well as external quality control.
Internal quality control consists of periodical standardization, instruments maintenance, testing in duplicates, cross check with other laboratory, use of known controls and standards etc.
For external quality control; during last four years we are participating in External Quality Assurance Scheme of CMC Hospital, Vellore, South India whichsends us unknown sample to process and results are send back to them. These reports are tallied there and the grading was done. Our laboratory stands in ELITE group and our results are in acceptable range. We have got all the four years records of the results and CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION. This quality control scheme helps us a lot in biochemistry testings and we are sure regarding theaccuracy and acceptability of results we generate.
